HAND-DYED FELTED WOOL
Auntie Ju's Quilt Shoppe carries a large selection
of beautiful hand-dyed 100% woolens.
They are available on plain, textured or plaid woolens.
(The plaids will vary due to availability.)
Our woolens are suitable for all crafts
including rug hooking, penny rugs and wool appliqué.
We use Dorr Mill and Heavens to Betsy woolens for all of our
over-dyeing unless otherwise noted. We do all of our own dying
and treat each piece to a vinegar colorfast bath,
a gentle rinse and low-setting dryer.
Our woolens come from a smoke free environment
and will arrive already pre-felted and ready to use......
no additional processing is required!
We're constantly adding new colors, so keep checking our website.
Please note that a F16 is approx. 8" x 13",
a F8 is approx. 13" x 16" and
a FQ is approx. 16" x 26".

CIVIL WAR 'JOURNALS'
BLOCK OF THE MONTH FOR 2012
| With lots of choices for quilters, the Civil War JOURNALS,
will be the perfect balance of quality, style and creative
flexibility. Its innovative design allows quilters
to make one queen sized quilt, or to rearrange the
blocks into four smaller quilts.
JOURNALS, with fabrics designed by Judie Rothermel,
offers a Block of the Month program that provides
a unique departure from earlier Civil War projects.
To satisfy the requests from customers both for
bed-sized quilts and smaller projects that can be
completed quickly this program has
"something for everyone".
Each quilt in this series focuses on a different aspect
of the war, and with JOURNALS, our attention
turns to the children of the 1860s. As the war continued,
more and more children were affected;
some joined the army and fought as soldiers.
Other children took on adult roles at home,
farming the land or helping the family to survive
while men were away at battle. Each month, you will
receive historical information, stories and quotes
from children who lived through the war. |

The fabric for this quilt will not be released until August.
This will be our third Civil War Block of the Month offering.
Fabrics for the previous programs have been
